*Information for Seniors and Senior Parents

May 24, 2012 Practice:

For the last day of school, Seniors are to report to the Leeward/Ewa End Zone Entrance of the Aloha Stadium by 7:50 AM for graduation practice. It is still a regular school day and attendance will be taken, so all tardy and absent students will be recorded.
On the Graduation Day, all Graduating Seniors must check in by 4:45 pm.

Dress Code for Boys:
Balfour green cap, gown, and tassel
White collared dress shirt, long or short sleeves
Dark dress pants (black preferred)
Dark necktie (No bowties)
Black shoes (No athletic shoes)

Dress Code for Girls:
Balfour white cap, gown, and tassel
White dress, not longer than gown
White shoes or sandals, not higher than 2.5 inches

Senior Night:

Parents & Seniors must attend SENIOR NIGHT on MONDAY May 14, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Aiea High School Cafeteria --- IMPORTANT INFORMATION regarding Graduation Night, parking passes, and Project Grad Night.

To Succeed in College or a Career, Hawai‘i’s Students Need to Prepare in High School

Step Up is a community-wide campaign that promotes college and career readiness for Hawai‘i’s high
school students.

To succeed in today’s information age and to prepare for a dynamic and ever-changing future, Hawai‘i’s high school students are encouraged to earn the Hawai‘i State Board of Education’s Step Up Diploma. This diploma, available
for the graduating classes of 2013 and beyond, is different from the regular high school diploma. It includes more challenging classes in math, science and writing, and it also includes the completion of a senior project.
 
Upon graduation, students who earn the BOE Step Up Diploma are rewarded with incentives for stepping up to this challenge. And they are better prepared to succeed after high school, whether they choose to attend college or choose a career.

Program runs from 2/8 to 3/21/12.  Maikai points can be earned while shopping at Foodland and Sack N Save.

Aiea High School's code is 7504.

Please designate Aiea High School to receive Maikai points so we can earn scholarships for our seniors.  By doing this, you will still earn your Maikai points and Aiea High School will earn the same amount of Maikai points too!

We need to earn at least 20,000 Maikai points to be eligible for the ranking, the more points the better!  The top five schools will receive five scholarships of $2000 each.  The next ten schools will receive three scholarships of $2000 each.  The next ten schools will receive two scholarships of $2000 each and the next 25 schools will receive one scholarship of $2000.
